Did you know that the secret to YouTube marketing success is simply telling good stories? Kevin Campbell's presentation for Plumb Marketing shows the step-by-step process any business can use to learn how to tell great YouTube stories that bring in customers and keep them returning and marketing for you.
Stories sell — just ask Disney, Sony, and any top brand out there. We all know the "Star Wars" movies - their combined revenue is worth $27 billion dollars! All for a story about things that never existed. The same with Disney, also worth about $27B. Story is the best way to increase the value of your business offering, keep prices up, and get out of the "commodity" price levels that plaque too many small companies.
Who's your AUDIENCE for your videos? You're making YouTube shows, so your audience is what's important, not your "demographic" or "target market." Your audience has one thing in common: what they're asking of your business. What problem do you solve for them?
VIDEO BLOGS: these should be about your customers and how you helped them with their problems and become their hero to save the day. You can even ask your customer to be in the blog with you!
How about some great YouTube channel examples to follow? Let's take a look at who succeeds on YouTube, and why. First up, MarieTV (MarieForleo.com). She's created a great online business with a fantastic YouTube channel and video blog series.
YouTube is an awesome resource for your email marketing, too. Video increases email open rates by up to 13 percent. Same with newsletters. Video Blogging works best when you reach out to other bloggers, particularly those with large numbers of followers. Once you start video blogging, reach other to other bloggers for guest blogging and for them to contribute to yours.
